Getting Ready | Wedding Planning | Root & Arrow Photography

We love the 'getting ready' part of weddings- it's always one of our favorite parts of the day!  Here are some tips to help you get the best photos possible:

Guys- We know it doesn't take you that long to get ready, but your partner probably still wants those shots! Wait until your photographer arrives to put on any finishing touches such as your shoes, jacket, bowtie/tie, boutonniere, cufflinks, etc. That way, we can get some detail shots as well as some shots of you getting ready.  Then you can have a beer!

Bring a Hanger- Bring a non-plastic hanger for the dress shot.

Your Space- See our blog post about how to choose the best space to get ready in over here.

Details- You spent a lot of time picking out all of the details for your day, they are what make your wedding so special & unique!  Below is a list of common wedding details we shoot.  Make sure to gather these items before we arrive so there is plenty of time for photographing them!
